D.A. Davidson Nabs $2.6-Mln Truist Team in Virginia
A three-advisor team generating $2.6 million in annual revenue left Charlotte-based Truist bank for regional brokerage D.A. Davidson & Co. in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
The team is led by Travis Marshall and Nichole Whatley, who had each spent more than a decade with Truist and predecessor firms BB&T Securities and Scott & Stringfellow. Neither immediately returned a request for comment. They moved along with junior advisor Jordan White and two client associates.
Marshall, who began his brokerage career in 2008 with Scott & Stringfellow, and Whatley, who began in 2006 with BB&T Investment Services, had been registered with BB&T Securities since 2013, according to Brokercheck. Truist was formed in the 2019 merger between SunTrust Banks and BB&T.
A Truist spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.
“We are pleased to strengthen our East coast presence by welcoming a team that is highly respected in the Harrisonburg community,” Michael Purpura, President of Wealth Management for Great Falls, Montana-headquartered D.A. Davidson, said in a prepared statement.
D.A. Davidson has about 365 advisors, according to the spokeswoman.
Wednesday’s move marks the first advisor team hire of the year for D.A. Davidson. It last April hired a $2 million-producing Wells Fargo duo in Nevada.
